Privacy Policy for NoScam

NoScam is designed to help users identify suspicious links, scam attempts, risky APK files, and potential fraud activity while respecting user privacy.

Local-Only Scam Protection

NoScam performs scam detection and protection features locally on your device wherever possible.

This may include:

  • Suspicious link analysis
  • Redirect risk checks
  • APK risk warnings
  • Phishing detection
  • QR and link safety analysis
  • Installed app permission risk checks (using visible app metadata on your device)

NoScam does not upload your private messages, APK files, banking credentials, or personal conversations to NoScam servers for these protections.

Shared Links and Clipboard Review

If enabled by the user, NoScam may locally review pasted or shared links to help detect:

  • Phishing websites
  • Fake payment pages
  • Dangerous APK links
  • Scam redirects

This analysis happens on-device.

NoScam does not sell or upload clipboard or shared-link content to external servers.

Optional notification monitoring is available only after you explicitly enable Notification Access in Android settings. If enabled, notification text is analyzed on your device for fraud-risk patterns only. You can turn this off anytime.

Text-to-Speech Voice Warnings (Optional)

NoScam may optionally use the Android built-in Text-to-Speech system to provide spoken scam warnings for high-risk detections when enabled in Settings.

Important:

  • No microphone access is used
  • No voice or audio recordings are collected
  • No speech data is uploaded to NoScam servers

Voice warnings are generated locally on the device using Android system services.

What NoScam Does NOT Collect

NoScam does NOT collect:

  • Banking passwords
  • OTPs
  • UPI PINs
  • Financial login credentials
  • Microphone recordings
  • Private phone conversations
  • SMS inbox content (NoScam does not request SMS read permission)
  • Call logs or contact lists
  • Continuous location tracking

NoScam does not sell personal user data. We do not upload private notification, message, link, or clipboard content to NoScam servers.

Advertising

NoScam may display advertisements through trusted third-party advertising providers such as Google AdMob.

AdMob may process Advertising IDs and related network or device signals for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement under Google’s policies.

NoScam itself does not sell personal user data.

Your Control

NoScam is designed to give users control.

You can:

  • Disable voice scam warnings
  • Manage alert and protection settings
  • Disable clipboard detection or notification monitoring
  • Revoke permissions from Android settings
  • Clear app storage or uninstall to delete local data
  • Choose whether to continue opening suspicious links

NoScam does not silently block all links or secretly monitor private activity beyond protection features you choose to enable.

Honest Limitations

NoScam helps users identify potential threats and suspicious activity.

However:

  • No app can guarantee complete protection
  • Users should always remain careful online
  • Suspicious links or APK files should be avoided whenever possible

NoScam may use large visual warnings, spoken alerts, and simple language to help non-technical or elderly users better understand possible scam risks.

Data Deletion

You can remove data stored by NoScam by clearing app storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app. Exported reports you save elsewhere remain under your control.

Privacy Assurance

  • No spyware behavior
  • No hidden monitoring beyond features you enable
  • No cloud surveillance of your private content by NoScam
  • No sale of personal data
